Pack 194 Families,
Get your cubs psyched for a fun night at the Academy of Natural Sciences in January! Sleep under the dinosaurs or in one of the other exhibit halls after spending an evening with friends working toward your cub achievements.
Safari Overnight Details
Date: FRIDAY, January 30th to Saturday Jan 31st
Time: 6:30 pm to 9:00 am (stay all day Saturday if you’d like to tour the Academy on your own after the camp-in)
Ages: Safari Overnights are appropriate for children ages 7-14. (Pack 194 has permission to bring 6yr old Tiger cubs. Siblings are allowed, but cub scout activities will be the focus.) We require a parent or akela substitute attend with their own children)
Fees – Due to your Den Leader no later than the Dec Pack Meeting:
Children: $40/child for non-members
Adults: $35/adult for non-members
Parking will range $10 - $15 depending on which garage is used. This is your choice and is not included in the fees due in December.
What to Bring: sleeping bag and a mat or extra blanket to lay on, light toiletries, your enthusiasm for learning while having fun!
What NOT to bring: No outside food or drink is permitted and extra large sleeping mattresses are discouraged. Avoid bringing Gameboys, DS’s, iPods and those other expensive small things that can easily disappear. Snack and Breakfast provided.

Where is it?
The Academy of Natural Sciences is located at the corner of 19th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway . It faces Logan Circle . (see google directions below)
Public Transportation
Three SEPTA bus routes run within a block of the Academy. Southbound Routes 32 & 33 use 19th Street . Northbound, Route 32 uses 18th Street , while Northbound Route 33 uses 20th Street . Route 38 uses 20th Street in both directions. In addition, the Westbound Route 48 uses Arch Street , while several Driving directions to 1900 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy , Philadelphia , PA 19103

Subway-Surface Trolleys and the Market-Frankford Line run under Market Street . Surburban Station is the closest regional rail station.
